Components

  • 55 cards (including 5 starting cards)
  • 6 tea cup tokens

Setting Up

  1. Place the 5 starting cards (the cards with a colorful frame) in the middle of the table to form the "dining area".
  2. Shuffle the rest of the cards to form a deck. Put the deck face down below the starting cards; this deck is the "ordering area".
  3. The youngest player is the start player, and other players follow in clockwise order.

How to Play?

  1. On your turn, to create a new order, reveal the top ordering card, and place it face up next to the ordering card deck. (To recognize the order card, please see Further Detail.)

An order is formed of the combination of the back of top ordering card deck and the front of the card just revealed (see the diagram "An order").

  2. Each player must do one of the following actions based on the card:

    A. Find the correct customer, serving the Dango. To do this, all players now try be the first one to hit the corresponding customer(s) by using one of their hands. The fastest player wins this customer card (as 1 point), and then place the card in front of himself. If there are more than one matching cards, player who wins ther former card MUST place the card in front of himself first, and then he may hit the 2nd card.

Note: when doing this action, if you hit the wrong customer card, you don't any card. All you have to do is hit the right card as soon as possible.

    B. When there are no corresponding customer cards, all players must take a sip of tea and rest. To do this, simply pick up the tea cup token, and put the cup onto your lips for a second as if you are taking a sip of tea. The player who is the slowest MUST place one of his VP cards to the dining area; this card is now a new customer. In a word, he loses one point.

  3. After resoluving the revealed ordering card, move the card to the dining area, this card becomes a new customer. The player who sits on the left side of the player, now takes his turn.

Example

The example shows three orders:

  • Order #1: the order matches the figure with the customer (#1).
  • Order #2: the order matches the color with the customer (#2).
  • Order #3: the order matches the background color (#3).

End of Game

When the last card is revealed and is not able to form an order, all Dangos are sold out. The game ends immediately. Now, all players count their own VP cards. The player with the most cards wins the game. If there is a tie, all players with the cards share the victory.
