Can I convert a newborn animal or its parents to food right after breeding?
The rulebook forbids it and the designer added that all newborns must be housed first.

Not right after birth. Parents and babies must first be accommodated on your Home board; with several newborns, place all that you can before eating any of them. The ban applies only to breeding: animals taken from an action space or expedition can be converted immediately.
