Components

  • 6x Viking Card
  • 2x Boulder
  • 1x Longship
  • 2x Viking Warrior (the sheet shows two "2x" counts, one for each of two Viking Warrior sculpts, under a single "Viking Warrior" label)

Viking Expansion

During setup, place the Viking Longship in the battlefield, at an equal distance between players. Shuffle the Viking Cards and place them in a pile face down beside the Longship. Take 2 Viking Warriors per player, place them in pairs at an equal distance between players and a distance of 2 from each other. Each pair should face a different castle.

Requires Catapult Feud core game to play.

Raid

The Vikings charge towards the castles! At the beginning of every new round, the Viking Warriors move forward a distance of 2 closer to their targeted castle. If they reach your player board, you lose the game!

If at any point you knock down one of the Vikings attacking your castle, the Viking goes back in the box, and you can immediately use the Viking Cannon to fire once at your opponent!

Viking Cards

At the beginning of each player's turn, reveal the top card from the Viking deck and resolve it. If there are no more cards in the deck, reshuffle the discard pile to create a new one.

Viking Cards Reference

  • Charge: Move any one Viking Warrior by a distance of 2 closer to their target.
  • Retreat: Move any one Viking Warrior by a distance of 2 away from their target.
  • Wolf's Bane: On this turn, you may use the Viking Cannon as your weapon. The Longship can not be moved, but it can be rotated to aim.
  • Lucky Guess: Look at your discard pile and pick one card in secret. Your opponent has one chance to guess the card you picked. If they guess correctly, they keep the card. If they guess incorrectly, you may immediately play this card.
  • Double distance: For this turn, you may move your weapon up to a distance of 4 from your player board.
  • False orders: Following the Troop Placement Rules, move up to 2 of your opponent's troops to a new position.

Assembling the Longship

  1. Place the Longship parts on a flat surface and take one elastic band from the box.
  2. Pass the elastic band through the seat's hole, and then pass the seat through the barrel.
  3. Wiggle the seat until the elastic band moves through the barrel's sides. Stretch the band and attach as shown.
  4. If you need further instructions, watch the assembly videos on www.vesuviusmedia.com/catapultfeud.
