Components
Requires Cartographers Heroes.

Setup
Shuffle all skill cards. Select three at random and place them in a face-up row in the center of the play area. Return the remaining skill cards to the game box.
Gameplay
Once per season, each player may activate the ability of one of the three available skill cards. To do so, they must spend coins to pay its cost.
The cost to activate the ability of a skill card is the number in the top right corner of the card.
To spend a coin, draw a slash through a filled coin symbol on your coin track. Players do not earn reputation stars for spent coins at the end of each season.
- Unspent Coin: a filled coin symbol on the coin track.
- Spent Coin: a filled coin symbol on the coin track with a slash drawn through it.
Skill Cards
Each skill card shows its name, its cost (top right corner), and its ability. Cards are listed in the order they appear on the English product photograph.
Manipulate
Cost: 1
During the Draw Phase, if an ambush card is not revealed, split the drawn shape at 1 point of your choice into 2 smaller shapes and draw both. (You may not change the terrain type.)
Note: the visible English text reads "During the Draw Phase, if an ambush card is not"; the remainder is translated from the German printing ("Wird in der Phase Entdecken kein Hinterhalt aufgedeckt, trenne die einzuzeichnende Form an 1 Stelle deiner Wahl in 2 kleinere Formen und zeichne beide ein. (Du darfst die Geländeart nicht wechseln.)"). The German printing names the phase "Entdecken" rather than "Draw Phase"; the English and Spanish printings both say Draw Phase, so the English wording is kept.
Summon
Cost: 0
During the Draw Phase, if an ambush card is revealed, draw a shape with one more or one less square than the depicted shape (minimum of 1).
Note: the full English text is legible on the English Thunderworks product image (the BGG cover). The German printing adds placement clarifications that the English card does not print: "(Du entscheidest selbst, welches Feld du weglässt bzw. wo du das Feld hinzufügst. Ein hinzugefügtes Feld muss an ein zu zeichnendes Monster-Feld angrenzen. Du musst mindestens 1 Monster-Feld einzeichnen.)" ("You decide yourself which square you omit or where you add the square. An added square must be adjacent to a monster square to be drawn. You must draw at least 1 monster square."). These are omitted here because they are not on the English card; the German printing also names the phase "Erkunden" (Explore), where the English and Spanish say Draw Phase. This is flagged as a judgment call.
Intimidate
Cost: 1
During the Draw Phase, destroy 1 space of your choice that is not a mountain space.
Note: the cost circle is hidden on the English photograph; the cost is taken from the German and Spanish printings. The visible English text reads "destroy any non-mountain space"; the wording above is translated from the German printing ("Zerstöre in der Phase Zeichnen 1 Feld deiner Wahl, das kein Gebirgs-Feld ist.")
Haggle
Cost: 3
During the Draw Phase, when an explore card with two options is revealed, draw both shapes. (You receive the coin.)
Note: the English text is legible up to "is revealed, draw both"; the words after that are hidden by an overlapping card and are translated from the German printing ("…zeichne beide Formen ein. (Du erhältst die Münze.)"). The German printing names the phase "Erkunden" (Explore); the visible English and the Spanish printing ("Fase de Dibujo") name the Draw Phase, so the English wording is kept.
Subvert
Cost: 1
During the Draw Phase, draw a 1x1 square instead of one of the available shapes. Fill it with any non-mountain terrain type of your choice.

Fill it with any non-mountain"; the rest is translated from the German printing ("Zeichne in der Phase Zeichnen 1 Form der Größe 1×1 ein, anstatt der vorgegebenen bzw. gewählten Form. Sense Evil
Cost: 1
During the Draw Phase, draw this hero adjacent to the drawn shape.
Note: the card shows a hero and its attack pattern below the text, and the English text is printed in full. The German printing reads "Zeichne in der Phase Zeichnen zusätzlich den hier gezeigten Helden und sein Angriffsmuster ein, sodass er an die gezeichnete Form angrenzt" ("draw the hero shown here together with its attack pattern, so that it is adjacent to the drawn shape"), which matches the English.
Disguise
Cost: 1
During the Draw Phase, draw a 1x1 square and fill it with both forest terrain and water terrain types.
Note: the German printing adds a scoring clarification that is not printed on the English card: "(Bei den Wertungen zählt dieses Feld sowohl als Wald- als auch als Wasser-Feld.)", i.e. for scoring, this space counts both as a forest space and as a water space.
Sleight of Hand
Cost: 1
During the Draw Phase, draw a 3x1 shape instead of one of the available shapes.
Note: this is the English wording on the English product photograph, which the Spanish printing also matches ("forma de 3x1"). The English product image on BGG (the cover) prints "draw a 1x3 shape" instead. The German printing reads "Größe 3×1 (bzw. 1×3)", i.e. either orientation. The 3x1 wording is kept; this conflict between English prints is flagged as a judgment call.
