Before You Start
ATTENTION: DO NOT SHUFFLE THE CARDS AND ONLY TURN THEM OVER WHEN YOU ARE TOLD TO.
NOW TURN THIS CARD OVER.
Card 1: Your First "Immediate" Card
YOU HAVE DRAWN YOUR FIRST "IMMEDIATE" CARD.
- Read it and carry it out completely. At the end of the card you are faced with a choice.
- During your adventure you do not need to make notes of your own or look out for hidden elements on the cards. Simply follow the instructions and follow the story.
- After you have jointly chosen one of the options below, turn this card back over and place it on the pile so that the next cards are covered.
Options:
- READ THE RULES: DRAW CARD 2
- OR BEGIN THE ADVENTURE (if you know the rules): DRAW CARD 3
Card 2: Your First "Object" Card
YOU HAVE DRAWN YOUR FIRST "OBJECT" CARD.
- Lay it out in front of you where everyone can see it.
- Objects can be useful during the game. You may look at them at any time.
- The cards are printed on both sides!
- On the front of the card the number is in a coloured circle; on the back it is in a black square. ATTENTION: Only turn cards over when you are explicitly told to.
BEGIN THE ADVENTURE BY DRAWING CARD 3.
NOTE: If you draw an IMMEDIATE card, you must carry it out completely right away before continuing. Leave the OBJECT card on the table unless you are told to discard it.
REMARK: If you have to replace a card, discard it (onto a discard pile) and place the new card in the same spot.
Card 3: Your First "Map" Card
YOU HAVE DRAWN A "MAP" CARD.
- Place it in the middle of the table.
- Draw and read the cards whose numbers are given around the compass.
- Place these cards in the positions indicated around the MAP card.
NOTE: If any of the newly laid-out cards shows further numbers around a compass, place those cards immediately as well.
NOW VARIOUS ACTION CARDS ARE VISIBLE.
Choose one of the available ACTIONS and follow the instructions exactly. Then decide on another visible ACTION.
Now you know the four card types: Immediate, Object, Map and Action.
The symbols on the cards help when packing the game away again.
NOTE: If an instruction says you should turn a map card over, do not remove the cards lying around it.
