Material

  • 600 cards
  • 1 board
  • 8 pawns
  • 1 rules sheet

Setup

Place as many pawns as there are players or teams on the "Prodigious Mind" square (Mente Prodigiosa) at the top of the board.

Take one of the 5 card packs, shuffle it, and place it in the centre of the table to form the draw pile.

Gameplay

You are now ready to begin. The player who considers themselves the most cultured starts. They draw a card and ask the question on it to the player on their left:

  • If that player answers correctly, they lose no points and stay on the same square of the board.
  • If they answer incorrectly, they must move down as many squares as the penalty indicated on the question card.

Then the player who has just answered the question card draws a card and asks the question to the next player on their left, and so on.

The game ends when one of the players reaches square 0 of IQ - Free Fall (Caída Libre; "Chao, pescao!"). The player with the highest Intellectual Quotient is declared the winner.

The 6 Types of Question Cards

Double Questions (Preguntas dobles)

Choose to answer only one of the two questions on the card, according to the topic that inspires you most. Double questions are presented as follows: "Diego, do you prefer a question on the topic Tennis for -20 Intellectual Quotient (IQ) points, or on the topic Vitamins for -40 IQ points?" Be strategic: the easier the question, the greater the penalty, and vice versa.

Russian Roulette (La ruleta rusa)

Find the correct answer among 4 options. If you fail, you lose 40 IQ points.

Quote 5 (Cita 5)

Name 5 elements on the proposed topic in less than 15 seconds. Be quick, because you lose 10 IQ points for each element you are missing.

More or Less (Es + o -)

Answer 2 questions, finding in each case the element that is higher than the other. One incorrect answer subtracts 20 points; two incorrect answers subtract 50 points.

Fake News / Real News

Guess whether the 2 facts mentioned are real information or not. You lose 20 IQ points if you are wrong once, and 50 points if you are wrong on both questions.

Shootout (Tiroteo)

Answer 5 true/false questions on each of the topics of the game. As soon as you answer one of the 5 questions incorrectly, your turn stops and you lose 30 Intellectual Quotient (IQ) points.

Strategic Weapons (Las armas estratégicas)

The station's weapons are now scattered across the board. They can grant you powerful advantages, but if they are used incorrectly they could turn against you and make you fall.

The effect of these weapons applies only at the start of your turn, when you have to answer a question, and not when you land on them after answering a question.

  • The Sniper (El francotirador): Choose a victim among the players. If you answer correctly, you gain +10 IQ while your victim loses -30 IQ. If you answer incorrectly, only you lose the number of IQ points indicated on the question card.
  • The Hook (El gancho): Choose a player you want to help. If you answer correctly, both of you recover +10 IQ. If you answer incorrectly, only you lose the number of IQ points indicated on the question card.
  • The Dynamite (La dinamita): If you answer correctly, you recover +10 IQ. If you answer incorrectly, you lose -20 IQ in addition to the points indicated on the question card.
  • The Jetpack (La mochila propulsora): If you answer correctly, you gain +30 IQ. If you answer incorrectly, you lose the number of IQ points indicated on the question card.
  • Armageddon (El armagedón): If you answer correctly, you gain +10 IQ and all other players lose -20 IQ. If you answer incorrectly, only you lose the number of IQ points indicated on the question card.

Notes

  • The source sheet is a fold-out with the full rules on two sides. Its card illustrations contain decorative background text in several languages; that text is not rules and is omitted.
