Objective
Gain the most points by forming words on your scorecard according to rolls of the dice.
Scorecard
The scorecard has an 8x8 grid where each player will try to write in as many words as possible. Along the edges of this grid are grey spaces for totalling points by row and column. The right side of the card is where players will keep track of the letters rolled and used.
Gameplay
Each player takes a scorecard and pencil. The youngest player starts by rolling the six-sided Bresk die.
If a 0 is rolled, your turn ends immediately. No letters nor spaces are added to the scorecards.
If 1, 2, or 3 are rolled, players add 1, 2, or 3 letters respectively to their scorecards. Each player chooses their desired letters of the alphabet or spaces. Players fill in the letters/spaces on the right side of the scorecard first to keep track of what has been used, and then add them anywhere they like in the 8x8 grid. Spaces are represented by a coloured-in circle.
If the Bresk side of the die is rolled, then also roll the alphabet die once. All players must note it on the right side of their scorecard and then use this letter in their grid. If the blank side of the alphabet die is rolled, every player must use a space on their scorecard.
Each player takes turn rolling the Bresk die until all 64 spaces in the 8x8 grids have been filled.
Scoring
Each letter in each complete word is worth 1 point. Plurals and words in different tenses are valid (for example FINCHES or JUMPING or JUMPED). Words must be separated by a space in each row or column to count. For example, NINEHAT written along one row will score 0 points because the two words are not separated by a space. A row with BAND THE would score seven points. A row with BAND EHT would score only four points, as words must be readable from left to right in a row, and from top to bottom in a column. Spaces and incomplete words do not count towards points. Words must be at least two letters long. Proper nouns do not count (words that normally start with a capital letter). Words normally connected by a hyphen or using an apostrophe also do not count. Accents on letters do not need to be used. For example in the word CAFÉ written horizontally, you may use that letter E again vertically for the word VEST. Players may only consult a dictionary during the scoring phase to verify words if there is a dispute.
Bonus Points
The player(s) with the longest word will receive 5 bonus points. The player(s) with the most valid words in their grid in total will receive 3 bonus points.
Total
Add up the points for each row and column as well as any relevant bonus points. The player with the most points wins!
