Setup Changes
During setup, after the steps described on pages 4-5, additionally shuffle all 6 dog artifact tokens face down. Place 1 token face down on each of the planets. Return the unused token to the box without revealing it—that token will not be used in this game.
Gameplay Changes
During landing phase, the first astronaut placed on a planet with a dog artifact token reveals the token. Each token has a unique effect described below:
Dog Artifact Tokens
Alien Dog
The astronaut that revealed this token immediately returns to their spot on the rocket board (they do not disembark). Moreover, no other astronaut may disembark the rocket during this landing phase. Discard the token after this landing phase.
Dog Astronaut
After revealing this token, treat it as an independent astronaut that discovered this planet first—place it above the astronaut that revealed the token, as if it was there before. When counting points, treat the dog astronaut as a neutral player (the points they would receive are uncounted).
Catnip Box
After revealing this token, each astronaut that is still on the rocket must disembark on this planet (following the normal rules for disembarking). Discard the token after this landing phase.
Old Dog Rocket
Upon reveal, and as long as this token is on the planet, any astronaut that would disembark on this planet may instead place that astronaut on an unoccupied moon in the planet's orbit. The first time a player chooses this option, discard the old dog rocket.
Doghouse
This token remains on the planet after revealing it. When counting points, each player gains 1 additional point for each of their astronauts on the planet with this token.
Space Puppy
Attach this token to the last astronaut to land on this planet (only in the current landing phase). The space puppy counts as and additional half an astronaut when determining majority on a planet.
