Goal

Be the first player to collect the ten different Bananyas.

Contents

  • 4 reference guides
  • 64 cards

Who Goes First

The player who most recently ate a sweet goes first.

Setup

  1. Give each player a reference guide.
  2. Shuffle the cards and deal seven to each player.
  3. Place the remaining cards face down to form the deck.

Litter box: Turn the box over and use it as the "litter box" (arenero, the discard pile).

Gameplay

On your turn, draw a card from the deck or from the litter box and add it to your hand. Then play a card from your hand onto the litter box and resolve its action immediately. Keep your hand secret.

Note: Cards that you must discard do not resolve their effect.

How to Win

During any player's turn, if you have all ten Bananyas, shout "NYA!" and reveal your cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play immediately a card I just took from the litter box? No. You must wait until your next turn.

What happens if a player shouts "NYA!" without having all ten Bananyas? That player must shuffle their hand and discard 2 cards at random.

What is the litter box? When you play a card, or are forced to discard, those cards go to the litter box (the discard pile).

Which cards can I take from the litter box? You may only take the card on top of the litter box, unless you play a Tricolor Bananya.

What do I do if the deck runs out of cards? Take all the cards from the litter box, shuffle them, and create a new deck to continue playing.
