Presentation and Preparation
- 48 logs consisting of 8 large, 15 medium and 25 small ones
- One ring designed to take the logs
- Randomly determine the starting player
Goal of the Game
Players try to score the most points by removing as many logs as possible from the ring. The logs are worth the following points:
- Large Log = 5 points
- Medium Log = 3 points
- Small Log = 1 point
How to Play
Players take turns removing a log from inside the pile without causing any of the other logs to move.
- You may not remove logs from the top of the pile
- If you manage to remove a log without disturbing any of the others, you keep the log and play again. Note: A slight movement is acceptable, provided no other log falls and changes its position in the pile.
- You may use a log you have already removed to help you move the other logs.
- If you disturb any of the other logs during or after removing a log you must put back the log you just removed by placing it on top of the pile. Your turn is now over.
End of the Game
The game is finished when one of the players reaches the score defined before the game begins e.g., 20 points for 2 players, 13 points for 3 players, 10 points for 4 players, etc. That player is the winner and the order of the runners-up is determined according to the number of points they have scored.
Length of game = 10 to 15 minutes
