Black Rose Wars: Razvan Setup

Printed on the "Razvan Rules" card.

To use Razvan in a Black Rose Wars game, follow theses [sic] points during the game setup:

  • Place the Razvan Evocation Card revealed on the table, next to the Event Board.
  • Place the six Razvan's Bite Jinx Cards on the table, next to the Event Board; Mages cannot assign the Razvan's Bite Jinx Card.
  • Place the three Razvan's Event Cards on top of the Event Decks of the corresponding Moon.

Black Rose Wars: Razvan Evocation Card

Printed on the Razvan card (Undead, Forgotten). Card number is partly cut off.

Razvan — Undead, Forgotten

Stat icons, left to right: movement 4, a spiked-burst icon with value 2, and a heart with value 4.

Text:

Razvan is owned by the [owner icon]. When Razvan activates, he moves towards the Crown Holder; if he reaches them he performs a [action icon] against each [Mage icon] (he does it in play order). If Razvan inflicts 1 [broken heart] to a Mage with no Razvan's Bite Jinx assigned, that Mage obtains a Razvan's Bite Jinx.

[Gap: the icons in the sentence "performs a [icon] against each [icon]" and the owner icon are too small to identify with confidence; they are shown here as bracketed placeholders.]

Black Rose Wars: Razvan Event Cards

Three cards, one per Moon: Equinox, Summit and Rumble. Each is printed with the same Black Rose Phase diagram along its lower edge.

Equinox

If Razvan is not in the Lodge, place Razvan in the [Moon icon]. Razvan activates. The Crown Holder gives the [crown icon] to the next Mage in play order. Razvan activates. The Crown Holder gives the [crown icon] to the next Mage in play order. Razvan activates.

Summit

If Razvan is not in the Lodge, place Razvan in the [Moon icon]. Razvan activates. The Crown Holder gives the [crown icon] to the next Mage in play order. Razvan activates.

Rumble

If Razvan is not in the Lodge, place Razvan in the [Moon icon]. Razvan activates. The Crown Holder gives the [crown icon] to the next Mage in play order.

[Gap: the "Black Rose Phase" diagram on each event card (an arrow, a row of card icons and a "2" cost marker at each end) is too small to read with confidence and is not transcribed. The Moon and crown icons above are shown as bracketed placeholders.]

Black Rose Wars: Razvan's Bite Jinx Cards

Six jinx cards. Printed numbers 007 to 011 are legible or partly legible; the number of the sixth card is cut off. Setup places all six next to the Event Board; Mages cannot assign them (see Razvan Setup above).

Each card is titled Razvan's Bite with the subtitle Mages cannot assign this jinx. The printed text is:

When you inflict [broken heart] on another Mage, inflict 1 [less, or more] [broken heart], then, the [icon] inflicts 1 [broken heart] on that Mage.

When you defeat Razvan, place 1 [token icon] on this card.

Discard this card.

[Gap: the word "less" is clearly printed on the cards numbered 007, 008 and 011 in the first line; on 009 and on the leftmost card (010) that word is cut off or too small to read, so it is shown as "less, or more" and not guessed. The icon in "the [icon] inflicts", the token icon in the second line, and the end of the second line on the leftmost card are too small or cut off and are shown as bracketed placeholders.]

Nova Aetas Renaissance: Razvan Miniature Card

Printed on the Razvan character card (front). Card number is partly legible.

Razvan — Pierce; Bleed, Vampirize; Charge, Fly

Front stats, top to bottom: 5 (gold coin icon), 5 (cog-style icon), 7 (shield icon), 6 (shield icon), 15 (heart icon). Combat strip: 3 (hourglass), 1 (cross), 3 (burst), 7+ (hand icon).

Keywords printed on the card: Charge, Fly. Ability line: Pierce, with the Bleed / Vampirize icon.

[Gap: the meaning of the icons in the stat strip and the Bleed / Vampirize icon are not identifiable from the photograph, so they are reported as printed in icon form and not expanded into words.]

Nova Aetas Renaissance: Dread in the Night

Printed on the back of the Razvan miniature card. This is a side-mission flavour card with one rule.

A scream in the night, eerie cries, and then an icy silence. "This place is haunted, believe me," the innkeeper says as he looks into your eyes, "a monstrous creature roams in there, many people have disappeared after entering this damned forest."

  • You may mark Side Mission P2 - "Night Stalkers" in the Active Side Missions.

The Night Stalkers side-mission card itself is not in the photograph and is not transcribed here.

Nova Aetas Renaissance: Night Stalkers Token Board

A board of twelve round red tokens in a 3 by 4 grid, each with a printed symbol that is too small to identify.

[Gap: the function of the board and its tokens is not legible from the photograph and is not described. Nothing from other Night Stalkers sheets has been added.]

Blood Promo Cards

Printed "Blood Promo Card" 012 to 019, photographed with the Razvan cards. The photograph does not say which game these cards belong to. Each card shows its printed ingredient cost, its name and its effect. Ingredient names that are too small to read with confidence are marked "partly legible" rather than guessed.

  • Mist Form (019) — Cost: 1 [Gold], 1 [Rowan — partly legible]. "Once per Activation you can avoid 1 Enemy Reaction Attack."
  • Superhuman Force (018) — Cost: 1 [Silver], 1 [Mandrake — partly legible]. "You may use a [heart-shaped icon] Weapon as a [icon] Weapon."
  • Endurance of the Dead (017) — Cost: 1 [Silver], 1 [Memory — partly legible]. "Gain +1 [heart icon]."
  • Dark Powers (016) — Cost: 1 [Silver], 1 [Sulfur — partly legible]. "Gain +3 [icon]."
  • Predator's Sight (015) — Cost: 1 [Metal], 1 [Belladonna — partly legible]. "Gain +1 [eye icon]."
  • Wolf Form (014) — Cost: 2 [Metal], 1 [Memory]. "The first time you use a Movement Action during your Activation, that Action costs you 1 [hourglass icon] less (up to a minimum of 1 [hourglass icon])."
  • Vampiric Strength (013) — Cost: 1 [Silver], 1 [Rowan — partly legible]. "Gain +1 [icon]."
  • Gift of the Night (012) — Cost: 1 [Metal], 1 [Mandrake — partly legible]. "Gain the Fly Skill."

Source Gaps

  • Black Rose Wars event cards: the "Black Rose Phase" diagram is not transcribed (see Event Cards).
  • Razvan's Bite jinx cards: "less" / "more" and some icons are cut off or too small (see Jinx Cards).
  • Razvan Evocation Card: some icons in the ability text are not identifiable.
  • Nova Aetas Razvan card: stat-strip and keyword icons are not expanded; the card number is partly legible.
  • Night Stalkers token board: function not legible; the Night Stalkers mission card is not in the photograph.
  • Blood Promo Cards: ingredient names marked "partly legible" are best readings.
