Gods of Egypt

The sheet is split into a left panel and a right panel. The Ptah rules are on the left and the Sobek rules on the right.

Ptah — Creator-Builder

  • The player who starts as Ptah begins the game with 2 Exalted Follower tokens on their god dashboard.
  • After Ptah builds a Monument (with any effect), Ptah's player takes all Exalted Follower tokens from the dashboard.
  • Exalted Followers count as 2 Followers for all purposes. The player does not receive change when using an Exalted Follower to pay for 1 Follower. When Exalted Followers are sacrificed, they return to the dashboard.
  • Using an Exalted Follower, you may summon your Warrior that is held captive by Anubis, which can then use it (counts as 2).
  • After any of your opponents builds a Monument, they must give you 1 Follower, if they have any.

Translator's note: the parenthetical "(counts as 2)" follows the Anubis clause in the Russian text. It is read here as the Exalted Follower counting as 2 when used to pay for the captive Warrior.

Note: in the Great Reconstruction scenario, placing a Monument when you gain control of it does not count as building a Monument.

Sobek — Lord of the Waters

  • The player who starts as Sobek begins the game with 3 Water tokens on their god dashboard.
  • The Sobek god figure may occupy Water spaces, which means it may end any move on a Water space.
  • Each time Sobek dominates a region, or Sobek wins a Battle while in a region, Sobek may place 1 Water token on any empty space in that region that is adjacent to a river, a Water space, a camel or the map edge, until new regions are created. All camels along the edges of the Water token are removed. This permanently changes the space into a Water space, because Water tokens cannot be moved or removed (even if Sobek is forgotten).
  • The Water token is placed after the Battle has ended. If Sobek won a Battle against Osiris, Sobek may first place a Water token, and then Osiris may place an Underworld token.

Note: Water spaces are considered part of each region they are adjacent to. Water spaces are considered adjacent to all the spaces surrounding them, even if there is a river between them.

Figure omitted: the printed sheet contains a diagram at this point. The translated text refers to it as follows.

Example: In the example above, space C is adjacent to spaces A and D, and likewise space B is adjacent to spaces A and D. A and D are not adjacent.

The Guardians of Mankind

Left column.

HEKA

During the movement of figures, instead of moving your Heka, you may kill it and receive 3 Followers.

NEKHBET

During the movement of figures, you may move Nekhbet any number of spaces.

SERKET

After you have won a Battle with Serket, you may move her to any space without Water in the region with a Conflict Order token that has a higher number than the current one (even if you have no figures in it). If there are no free spaces in that region, or if this is the last Battle, Serket cannot be moved.

UNUT

Unut may be summoned adjacent to any figure on the board, regardless of who owns that figure. It does not need to be summoned adjacent to your figures or Monuments. At the owner's option, it may be summoned in the normal way.

Note: Unut may count as an extra summon from Pyramid Attuned only if it is actually summoned adjacent to one of your Pyramids. Otherwise it counts as a regular summon.

WEDJET

If Wedjet is your only figure in a Battle, she gets +1 Strength. Your Devotion reward for winning a Battle in which Wedjet is your only figure also increases by 1.

Note: because this bonus is part of the Devotion reward for "winning a Battle", it does not allow the Bountiful effect to apply once more.

MEDJED

When a Battle in which there is a Medjed ends, the winner receives Followers instead of the Devotion reward for winning the Battle. This happens if the owner of the Medjed became the winner. If all Medjeds in the Battle were killed by a Plague of Locusts before the Battle ended, the winner receives Devotion as usual.

Note: effects that increase the Devotion reward for winning (for example Drought or Glorious) increase the number of Followers received. The Bountiful effect does not apply to the win, because no Devotion is gained.

Right column.

BES

During the check for Monument majorities, if you have a Bes in a region, the Devotion reward for a Pyramid majority increases by 1 for each Pyramid. If you have 2 Bes in a region, the reward increases by 2 for each Pyramid.

Note: because this bonus is part of the Devotion reward for a Monument majority, it does not allow the Bountiful effect to apply once more.

KHEPRI

During a Gain Followers action, before gaining Followers, you may choose one of the following: summon Khepri to any non-Water space adjacent to any Monument on the board; or move Khepri to any non-Water space adjacent to any Monument on the board.

You may summon or move all the Khepri you have during each Gain Followers action.

PHARAOH'S MUMMY

At the end of a Battle, if at least 1 of your Pharaoh's Mummies died in the Battle, you take back all the Battle cards you used in that Battle.

BABI

During a Conflict, Babi is also considered an Obelisk under your control.

  • When deciding Obelisk majority, each Babi counts as 1 Obelisk.
  • When you use Obelisk Attuned, you may move figures to empty spaces adjacent to your Babi. Instead of moving figures one at a time, you may move Babi to a space adjacent to an Obelisk in another region, and then move the remaining figures to spaces adjacent to Babi.

BENNU

Bennu cannot be killed by any effect. It is considered a Divine figure.

GRIFFIN

The Griffin gets +1 Strength for each Temple you control, regardless of where those Temples stand on the board.

TAWERET

Taweret gets +2 Strength for each God present in the region, including your own.

Petsuchos

Left part.

Players may agree at the start of the game whether to include Petsuchos, in addition to the other Guardians. This figure begins the game in general play.

Petsuchos is a Guardian with a starting Strength of 3.

At the end of each Battle, after all effects have been used, Petsuchos is taken by the player with the lowest Devotion. It is removed from the board and sent to that player's pool. If Petsuchos's owner has not changed, it remains on the board.

Petsuchos has no color base. The player who controls Petsuchos also takes the Guardian card showing that they control it.

Petsuchos occupies 2 spaces but counts as a single figure for all purposes. Both of Petsuchos's spaces must be in the same region. Petsuchos may occupy a Fertile space and a Desert space at the same time, but it cannot occupy a Water space. It may also occupy an Underworld token while another of its spaces is controlled by Osiris.

Summoning Petsuchos. To summon Petsuchos, first choose the place of summoning. Then place Petsuchos on 1 space and on 1 adjacent empty space. If there are no adjacent empty spaces, you cannot choose that space.

Moving Petsuchos. To move Petsuchos, choose one of its 2 spaces as the starting space. Then, taking into account how many spaces you may move it, choose a space within that distance from the starting space and place Petsuchos on that space and on an adjacent empty space.

Right part.

If there are no adjacent empty spaces, you cannot choose that space. Movement of Petsuchos by an opponent follows the same rules.

If Petsuchos is moved by a number of spaces that is not fixed (for example by Obelisk Attuned), first choose a suitable space to move to. Then place Petsuchos on that space and on an adjacent empty space. If there are no adjacent empty spaces, you cannot choose that space.

Territory adjacent to Petsuchos. Spaces adjacent to any of the spaces occupied by Petsuchos are considered adjacent to it.

Interaction with Shezmu. Shezmu does not affect Petsuchos's ability to occupy 2 spaces and to change owner at the end of a Conflict. Petsuchos does not count its Strength if there is an enemy Shezmu in the region, and it cannot enter, or be summoned into, a region with an enemy Shezmu.
