Set Contents and Setup

The set contains 9 Builder cards (7 monuments and 2 artifacts). Its insert card reads, in Russian:

Во время подготовки к игре добавьте 9 карт из этого набора к соответствующим картам базовой игры и перемешайте колоду. Карты этого набора можно отделить по символам в правом нижнем углу.

Внимание! Это дополнительный набор карт. Для игры необходимы базовый набор «Древнее знание».

English translation:

During setup, add the 9 cards from this set to the matching cards of the base game and shuffle the deck. The cards of this set can be separated by the symbols in the bottom-right corner.

Attention! This is an additional set of cards. To play, the base set "Ancient Knowledge" is required.

Notes on the insert:

• The insert shows three set symbols in the bottom-right corner of the cards. They are part of the card art and are not named in the printed text, so they are not reproduced here. Use them to sort this set's cards from the base cards.

Cards

Each card is shown with its printed details first, then its printed text. In the Russian text, icons are shown as bracketed tags: [discard-cards icon] is the Cost (discard cards) symbol (a hand holding cards); [knowledge icon] is the knowledge symbol (a document); [city icon] is the city symbol (a columned building). Circled numbers are shown as plain numbers. The printed space number and the cost are given in the details line of each card.

Desert View Watchtower (Башня Дезерт-Вью)

• Type: Monument, City.
• Cost (discard cards): 2 (top left).
• Starting space: 4.
• Knowledge: 0. Victory points: 0.
• Nation printed on the card: США (United States).

• Сбросьте 2 [discard-cards icon];

English translation:

• Discard 2 cards (the Cost (discard cards) symbol); then move this monument to space 4 instead of moving it to your Past.

Forbidden City (Запретный город)

• Type: Monument, City.
• Starting space: 5.
• Knowledge: 1. Victory points: 5.
• Nation printed on the card: Китай (China).

English translation:

• Discard all cards from your hand.

Lunar Caves (Пещеры Лунью)

• Type: Monument, Megalith.
• Starting space: 4.
• Knowledge: 1. Victory points: 6.
• Nation printed on the card: Китай (China).
• Top left also shows a second symbol (a round sack-like icon) that is not named in the printed text.

• Если в вашей хронологии есть хотя бы 1 [city icon], сбросьте этот монумент.

English translation:

• If your Timeline has at least 1 [city icon], discard this monument.

Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang (Мавзолей Цинь Шихуанди)

• Type: Monument, Pyramid.
• Starting space: 5.
• Knowledge: 6. Victory points: 3.
• Nation printed on the card: Китай (China).

Printed text (Russian, verbatim):

• Сбросьте 1 карту с руки, чтобы сбросить 2 [knowledge icon] с этого монумента;
• ИЛИ добавьте 1 [knowledge icon] на этот монумент, чтобы взять 2 карты из колоды.

English translation:

• Discard 1 card from your hand to remove 2 knowledge from this monument;
• OR add 1 knowledge to this monument to draw 2 cards from the deck.

Sanxingdui Mask (Саньсиндуйская маска)

• Type: Artifact.
• Cost (discard cards): 2 (top left).
• Nation printed on the card: Египет (Egypt), as printed. The scan prints this nation label under the card name.

Printed text (Russian, verbatim):

• При введении в игру всех монументов добавляйте на них на 1 меньше, чем указано.

English translation:

• When putting all monuments into play, add 1 less to them than indicated.

Note: the printed text does not name the quantity it changes, so it is transcribed as printed, without adding a quantity.

Staraladozhskaya Fortress (Староладожская крепость)

• Knowledge: 3. Victory points: 1.

Birch-bark Letters (Берестяные грамоты)

• Type: Artifact.

• Если на ваших монументах есть хотя бы 10 [knowledge icon], сбросьте 1 [discard-cards icon].

English translation:

• If your monuments have at least 10 [knowledge icon] on them, discard 1 card (the Cost (discard cards) symbol).

Notes on the Cards

• The printed text on each card is the only rules text in this set. This document reproduces that text and does not add rules beyond it.
• Each card's bottom-right corner shows an activation symbol. The base rules define these symbols (see the base game's Activation section). They are not restated here.
• The Russian titles, nation labels and card texts are as printed on the scans. The Sanxingdui Mask's nation label reads Египет (Egypt) as printed; the transcription does not correct it.
• The Desert View Watchtower's printed text matches the separately catalogued Desert View Watchtower promo (ancient-knowledge-desert-view-watchtower-rulebook.md). This set's copy is transcribed from its own scan.
• The artwork, the copyright and publisher line, and the card-sheet layout are not transcribed.
