Does the 2-player special tile's cattle space require paying 1 food?
The rulebook describes the Animal Market options; a community reply reads the tile the same way.

Yes — if you choose the cattle option you buy 1 cattle for 1 food. The Animal Market space gives you a choice of one of three options: 1 sheep plus 1 food, 1 wild boar, or buy 1 cattle for 1 food, so with no food you simply pick another option (provided you can house the animal or can cook it).
