Do I have to spend resources to score Joinery, Pottery and Basketmaker's Workshop, and do they count for the tiebreaker?
The publisher repeatedly confirmed that craft-building resources are spent; the rulebook's scoring text says you exchange leftover resources.
Yes — in the Revised Edition you pay the wood, clay or reed back to the supply to get the end-game bonus points from these three buildings. Spent resources are gone, so they cannot also break a tie. Edition difference: the original edition let leftover resources keep counting. Wood sitting on a Wood Field cannot be spent and so never scores.
