Can a house contain wood, clay and stone rooms at the same time?
The rulebook says you must renovate all rooms and can only add rooms of your house's material.

No — all your rooms are the same material. Renovation upgrades every room at once, and any new room must match your current house (5 clay + 2 reed once you have a clay house, 5 stone + 2 reed in a stone house). So you cannot build a stone room onto a wooden house; renovate first.
