France 2078 (3–4 players, 4 recommended).

A nuclear meltdown in France. Paris is gone, and 30% of the country is contaminated! But you are working tirelessly to restore France's glory!

All base game rules apply except for the changes listed here.

24 black wooden radiation tokens.

Setup

Place one radiation token on each radiation icon on the map. Place cubes as follows:

• LYON: 6 cubes
• LILLE, STRASBOURG, NANTES: 4 cubes each
• Bordeaux: 2 cubes

This map ends one round earlier than usual.

Playing the Game

Laying Track

Laying cost:

• Plain: $2
• Mountain: $4

Track cannot be laid on a hex that contains a radiation token.

Advancing the Round Marker

• The player in the last turn must remove any 2 radiation tokens of their choice from the map.
• Draw 1 cube from the bag and place it in LILLE.

Mongolia

Mongolia (3–6 players, 5 recommended).

Mongolia is home to large herds of yaks, which hinder the development of the railway network. But... now the railway barons have arrived!

All base game rules apply except for the changes listed here.

Translator's note (ats0101): The yellow city BEIJING is black 6, not black 3.

Setup

Place one yak (black cube) on each yak icon on the map. Randomly place 2 cubes in each city.

Playing the Game

Determining Turn Order

At the end of the auction: in a 3–4 player game, the player in second place takes 2 yaks from the map and places them in front of themselves. In a 5–6 player game, the players in second and third place each take 1 yak from the map and place it in front of themselves.

Laying Track

Track cannot be laid on a hex that contains a yak.

Laying cost:

• Plain: $3

Goods Growth

Action: Production

The normal Production action is changed as follows: a player who chooses this action may, during the Delivering Goods phase of the next round, place 1 yak in their possession on any city during one of their two deliveries, and deliver it following the normal base rules.

Game End

Each player earns $4 income for each yak in their possession!
