  • Red badge (top centre): 70.
  • Ability, Unleash: The player with the fewest Terror tiles claims the highest numbered unclaimed Terror tile and resolves its effect.
  • Increased Difficulty, Setup: Remove Terror tile 7 from the game.
  • Additional Rules:
    • Any player may lose 4 charges during their main phase to return all Terror tiles claimed by all players to the Wraithmonger Terror mat.
    • When Terror tile 1 is claimed, the players immediately lose the game.
    • When a player claims a Terror tile, that player places it on top of the ability text of their player mat. Players with Terror tiles cannot activate their abilities.
    • When a player is exhausted, Gravehold suffers 4 damage instead of Unleash twice. Resolve the rest of the on exhaust effects.

Wraithmonger, back

Setup: Place all the Terror tiles on the Wraithmonger Terror mat corresponding to their number.

The card's setup banner carries the printed number 6.

Wraithmonger Terror Mat

The Terror mat is the Wraithmonger's own play area. It has seven horizontal rows, numbered 1 to 7 from the bottom up. Each Terror tile is placed on the row that matches its number (see Setup on the Wraithmonger card).

Terror Tiles

There are seven Terror tiles, numbered 1 to 7. Each tile has one number and one effect. Where a tile gives two options, the printed "OR" separates them.

  • Terror tile 1: Wraithmonger enshrouds you in terror. Gravehold is enslaved. The players lose the game.
  • Terror tile 2: Suffer 4 damage.
  • Terror tile 3: Lose 3 charges. OR Gravehold suffers 5 damage.
  • Terror tile 4: Discard three cards in hand. OR Suffer 4 damage.
  • Terror tile 5: Lose 2 charges. OR Gravehold suffers 3 damage.
  • Terror tile 6: Suffer 2 damage.
  • Terror tile 7: Discard a card in hand.

Thrice-Dead Prophet (Nemesis)

Thrice-Dead Prophet, front

  • Name: Thrice-Dead Prophet.
  • Red badge (top centre): 40.
  • Ability, Unleash: Thrice-Dead Prophet gains 5 life. Then, if it has 60 or more life, it gains one nemesis token.
  • Increased Difficulty, Setup: Thrice-Dead Prophet gains 15 life.
  • Additional Rules:
    • At the end of the nemesis turn, if Thrice-Dead Prophet has four or more nemesis tokens, discard the top card of the nemesis deck and Thrice-Dead Prophet loses four nemesis tokens.
    • Thrice-Dead Prophet has no maximum life.
    • When Thrice-Dead Prophet has 99 or more life, it ascends to immortality and the players lose.
    • When the nemesis deck is empty, the Thrice-Dead Prophet has completed the final ritual and the players lose.

Thrice-Dead Prophet, back

Setup: None.

The card's setup banner carries the printed number 5.

Indira, Breach Apprentice (Mage)

The back of the Indira card is flavour text only and is left out.

Remnant, Aethereal Entity (Mage)

Mage card, front. The card's top edge carries four level markers (I to IV). Only the level II marker has printed text ("+1 aether on cast"); the other three are symbol-only and are not transcribed; see "Gaps".

  • Name: Remnant.
  • Title: Aethereal Entity.
  • Level II marker: +1 aether on cast.
  • Starting hand: 1x Void Shard, 2x Crystal, 2x Spark.

Remnant's Aether Breach

The Remnant's breach token is double-sided. Its printed labels are "Closed Breach II" on one side and "Opened Breach" on the other. Both sides are shown below as printed.

Closed Breach II:

  • Centre: Closed Breach II. Once Opened: +1 aether.
  • Focus, on the inner ring: 2 aether: Focus (three segments of the ring carry this label).
  • Open, on the outer edge: top edge, 2 aether: Open. Right edge, 3 aether: Open. Bottom edge, 4 aether: Open. Left edge, 5 aether: Open.

The scan shows the closed side rotated; the edge labels are transcribed as printed, each with its own aether cost.

Opened Breach II (the side that is shown once opened):

  • Level marker: II.
  • Label: Opened Breach.
  • Effect: +1 aether on cast.

Gaps

The scans cover the nemesis cards, the Terror mat, the Terror tiles, the two mage cards and Remnant's Aether Breach. The following are not in the scans and are not transcribed here:

  • Supply cards. The spells, gems, relics and other player cards that the Outer Dark adds to the supply are not in the scans. Starting-hand and starting-deck cards named on the mage cards (Crystal, Twin Opal, Spark, Void Shard) are not described here; their rules text is on the cards themselves.
  • Randomizer cards. The Outer Dark randomizer cards are not in the scans.
  • Nemesis tokens. The Thrice-Dead Prophet and Wraithmonger rules refer to nemesis tokens and charges. The token artwork is not in the scans.
  • Symbol-only level markers. The level markers (I to IV) at the top of the Indira and Remnant mage cards are symbol-only. Only Remnant's level II marker has printed text, and it is transcribed above. The other markers were not identified and are not transcribed.
  • Rotated breach scan. The Closed Breach II side of Remnant's Aether Breach is scanned rotated. Its edge and ring labels are read from the scan as printed; the sides are not verified against a physical token.
