The Wailing
The Wailing is a nemesis. Its reference card sets its health at 50 and carries the nemesis's Unleash ability, the Increased Difficulty variant, and the Additional Rules that apply to it.
The Wailing Reference Card
Unleash
The player with the Target token gains two Cracked Onyx. That player passes the Target token to the player on their left.
Increased Difficulty
Rules: When Shatter resolves, add 1 less power token to it. It costs players an additional 1 aether to force The Wailing to lose a nemesis token.
Additional Rules
During any player's main phase, that player may spend 7 aether to force The Wailing to lose a nemesis token. If you are playing solo with one mage, it costs 2 aether less to force The Wailing to lose a nemesis token.
When a player would gain a Cracked Onyx and that supply pile is empty, that player suffers 1 damage instead.
Shatter
Shatter is The Wailing's power card. Use the version for your player count. Each version is a Power card that costs 0. Do not discard a Shatter card from play when it resolves. Instead, add power tokens to the card, as printed below.
- Shatter (1-player game): POWER 6: For each nemesis token The Wailing has, Gravehold suffers 9 damage. Then, The Wailing gains one nemesis token. Do not discard this card from play. Instead, add 5 power tokens to this card. Use this version for a 1-player game.
- Shatter (2-player game): POWER 8: For each nemesis token The Wailing has, Gravehold suffers 9 damage. Then, The Wailing gains one nemesis token. Do not discard this card from play. Instead, add 6 power tokens to this card. Use this version for a 2-player game.
- Shatter (3-player game): POWER 10: For each nemesis token The Wailing has, Gravehold suffers 9 damage. Then, The Wailing gains one nemesis token. Do not discard this card from play. Instead, add 8 power tokens to this card. Use this version for a 3-player game.
- Shatter (4-player game): POWER 13: For each nemesis token The Wailing has, Gravehold suffers 9 damage. Then, The Wailing gains one nemesis token. Do not discard this card from play. Instead, add 11 power tokens to this card. Use this version for a 4-player game.

Nook's Board

- Starting deck: 4x Crystal, 1x Mystic Orb.
The board has spaces for Player Number and Life. Those values are not visible in the photographed board, so they are not transcribed here.

What This Transcription Covers
This is a card-only transcription of the cards photographed in BGG user images. It is not a complete rulebook for the expansion.
- Not transcribed: the other player cards and nemesis cards in the set, the Divider sheet, and the card backs. Only the cards shown in the photographs are transcribed.
- Not visible in the photographs: the Player Number and Life values on Nook's board, and the five tiles printed with "20" along the bottom edge of the board, which the printed text does not label.
- Card numbers: the printed set numbers are too small to read reliably in the photographs, so they are omitted.
- Icons: the aether symbol is written as the word "aether". Health and cost numbers are placed according to the card layout (red circle for health, corner number for cost).
- Target token and power tokens: the printed card text refers to them. Their components are listed on BGG as part of this expansion (1 Target Token, 5 Power Tokens), but no rules text for them was photographed, so no separate rules are given for them here.
