New Cards
The new cards in the Madness expansion set are shuffled into their corresponding Seal of Evil decks. They allow you to bring a little madness into your games.
Card Notes
Madness
As the card states, a character with Madness moves to a Random Location instead of making a normal move. This means the character gets no bonus from items or abilities that add to movement, and does not roll for movement (so there is no chance to draw an Event card by rolling a 1, or similar).
Green Abyss
The player may use as many Event cards as they like before a Spirit check of 6+. If the check fails, the player discards all Event cards from their hand and does not get to play any of them.
Duelling Pistol and Crossbow Pistol
Both of these cards count as a pistol, as their names say. This means that Anna-Maria, the schoolteacher, CAN use them despite her Weakness.
Accusation
Although the card has the same name as the ability to accuse Town Elders of evil intent, playing it does not count against your maximum number of accusations you can make when another player begins the Final Showdown.
Rope
If a hero has an ability that lets them use their Cunning or Spirit instead of Combat in a fight, they CAN use the Rope to re-roll all their dice on a Combat check once per turn (or once per round of the Final Showdown).
Translator's Note
Translator's note: the card names "Green Abyss", "Duelling Pistol", "Crossbow Pistol", "Accusation", "Rope" and "Madness" follow the English names given with the source. The other card names in the Contents ("Consumed by the Night", "Whisper in the Woods", "Cavalry Horse", "Don't Pull the Chain!", "Veil of Darkness", "Straight from Nowhere") are back-translated from the Russian and have not been checked against an English printing. The Corner Location names are rendered with the base game's English names, "Olde Woods" for the sheet's "Ancient Forest" and "Abandoned Keep" for its "Abandoned Fortress", as in the Hero Pack 1 rulebook. The illustration caption on the sheet, which names a character pictured on the artwork, the translation and layout credits, and the copyright line are not transcribed.
