Game Concept & Objective

Summer is finally here! Protect yourself from the sun and embark on a sailboat trip! The player who accumulates the most points (represented by Starfish) at the end of the game wins!

Components & Setup

Required Material:

  • 3 standard 6-sided dice (placed in the center of the table)
  • 1 Game Sheet per player
  • 1 Pencil per player

Turn Structure

Each turn, the active player rolls all 3 dice. The result is available to all players simultaneously:

  1. Choose a placement die: Players pick 1 die result that specifies which Box they may fill. The chosen Box must have this exact number shown in its top-left Pearl and must currently be empty.
  2. Write the value: In that chosen Box, players write down the result of a second die.
  3. Add to the Suns track: Finally, players add the result of the third die to the leftmost empty Sun at the top of their sheet. This new value is added cumulatively to the previous Sun's total.

The Suns Track & Bonuses

Each turn, your Sun value accumulates. When your total reaches or passes specific threshold numbers (12, 22, 32, 42, 52, 62), you unlock an immediate bonus:

  • Victory Points (Starfish)
  • A Seashell bonus
  • A Bonus Digit: You may add a digit of your choice (from 1 to 6) into any Zone (following the Zone's rules and triggering any applicable bonuses).

Example: Fanny's previous Sun total was 26. From the dice roll, she adds 6 to her total, reaching 32 in her current Sun slot. This unlocks the 32-Sun bonus, allowing her to immediately place a free '4' into a bottle!

If a dice roll does not allow placement in any Zone, add your choice of one die to your current Sun slot.

Special Bonuses

Pearls

If a player writes a value in a Box that is identical to the number shown in its top-left Pearl, she colors in that Pearl. It will be worth 1 VP at the end of the game.

Note: To achieve this via regular dice, the roll must contain a double.

The Crab

When a player writes a number in a Box with a Crab, she may immediately write the exact same number in an orthogonally adjacent Box (even across different Zones), respecting placement rules.

Seashells

At the end of the game, players total their collected Seashells. The player(s) with the most Seashells score 5 Victory Points. Others score 0.

Bob the Frog

When filling a Box with Bob the Frog, the player may choose a number from 1 to 6 to add to her Sun track instead of using the third die.

The 5 Playing Zones

  1. Beach Cabins: 3 cabins available simultaneously. Once a cabin is started, all numbers inside it must be identical.
  2. Koinobori (Wind Socks): 3 koinobori available. Numbers written inside must respect the ascending or descending symbols.
  3. Sailboats: Each pair of connected boxes separated by an inequality symbol must contain different numbers matching the rule.
  4. Message in a Bottle: All bottles on the sheet must contain identical numbers.
  5. Seagulls: All numbers placed in the seagulls must be strictly unique/different from one another.

Completing a Zone

When a player fills all boxes of a Zone, she circles the flag icon of that Zone to claim its end-game bonus points!

Game End

The game ends in one of two ways:

  1. At the end of the 20th turn.
  2. When any player's Sun total reaches or exceeds 62.

The player with the most points wins! In case of a tie, players share the victory—stay friends and go to the beach together this summer!

Charity Initiative

All profits from this game were donated to AccessiJeux, an organization working to make board games accessible to visually impaired people. Thank you for participating in this project!
