Preparation
Before playing the game for the first time, ask your parents to help you with the preparations.
Carefully remove the paths from the stamped board. Attach the stickers to the backs of the individual paths as shown in the illustration. Then remove the film from the stickers, and stick the paths down on the corridors of the same shape in the maze. They will stay there from now on.
Carefully remove the treasure cards from the stamped board, and shuffle them well.
Put the Labyrinth in the middle of the table so that all the players can reach it.
When you have shuffled the cards, put them face down next to the maze.
Now each player chooses a figure and places it on one of the four towers in the corners of the Labyrinth.
The youngest player goes first and play continues in a clockwise direction.
Off You Go!
When it is your turn, take the top card from the stack and place it picture side up beside the Labyrinth.
The card shows one of the treasures hidden inside the castle maze. This is the search card for all players. Before you move your figure along the path to this treasure, you can move the Labyrinth!
How to Move the Labyrinth
It's easy: put your index finger on the fountain and move the middle part of the Labyrinth either to the left or to the right. Try it and see how far you have to move the middle part to clear a path so that you can then move your figure towards the treasure.
How to Move Your Figure
You can move as far as you like or you can stay where you are, if you already happen to be on your treasure. If you come up against a wall, you have to stay where you are. Several players can share a playing square.
If you are able to reach the treasure in one turn, take the treasure card into your own pile and the next player turns over another treasure card to begin the search again.
If you are unable get to your treasure on your first go, leave your figure wherever you end up and play continues in a clockwise direction. The next player now takes their turn and tries to move their figure to the same treasure. Continue in this way until one of you finds the treasure on the card.
You may get to the treasure without moving the Labyrinth. In this case, you may move directly onto the treasure.
The End of the Game
The game is over when you have found all of the treasures in the Labyrinth, that is to say, when the treasure cards have all been used. The winner is the player with the most treasure cards.
For Experienced Players
Once you are familiar with the Labyrinth, you can change the rules.
Choose a direction before you move the maze, then move the middle part. If you play this way, you are no longer able to move to and fro in the same move.
