Game Setup
-
Place the Game Board in the center of the table.
-
Each player chooses a color and takes 1 Player Screen, 2 Betting Chips, and 1 Score Marker of that color. Each player also takes 1 Reroll Token and 2 Personal Dice. Then, each player:
- Sets up their Player Screen and places their 2 Personal Dice behind it.
- Places their 2 Betting Chips with the lighter side face up and their Reroll Token in front of their screen.
- Places their Score Marker on the "0" space of the Score Track.
-
Place the Round Marker on the Round 1 space. Place the Point Tokens in a general supply.
-
Place the following components on their designated Round Track spaces:
- Round 2: 1 Red Die
- Round 3: 1 Dark brown Die
- Round 5: Reroll Tokens (1 per player)
- Round 6: Personal Dice (1 per player)
Note: These components will be added to the game at the start of the indicated round.
-
Determine the Starting Player. They take the Starting Player Marker and the remaining 3 Dark brown Dice.
In 2 or 3-player games, return unused Player Screens, Betting Chips, Score Markers, Reroll Tokens, and Personal Dice to the box.
Game Flow
The game is played over 8 rounds (or 9 rounds in a 3-player game). A round consists of the following steps:
Round Sequence
All players → 1st player → Bet ×1 → Last player → Bet ×1 → Score
- Roll Personal Dice
- Roll Shared Dice
- First Betting Phase
- First Shared Die Reroll
- Second Betting Phase
- Second Shared Die Reroll
- Resolution
➊ Roll Personal Dice
Each player rolls all of their Personal Dice behind their screen. Each player's result is private. Each of you initially rolls 2 Personal Dice, but you will unlock more in round 6.
➋ Roll Shared Dice
The Starting Player rolls all currently active Shared Dice for all players to see. (Initially, 3 Dark brown Dice)
➌ First Betting Phase
Starting with the Starting Player and proceeding clockwise, each player places one of their Betting Chips on an empty Betting Space on the board.
Players may not place a chip on an occupied space. Chips must remain on their currently displayed side during the game unless instructed otherwise.
In a 2-player game, you can only use the left-most betting space for each combination.
➍ First Shared Die Reroll
The final bettor of step 3 (the player to the Starting Player's right) must choose one active Dark brown Die and reroll it.
❺ Second Betting Phase
Starting with the final bettor of step 3 and proceeding counter-clockwise, each player places their remaining Betting Chip on any empty Betting Space.
❻ Second Shared Die Reroll
The final bettor of step 5 (the Starting Player) must choose one active Dark brown Die and reroll it. (The die rerolled in step 4 may be chosen again.) The results of the Shared Dice are now final.
➐ Resolution
All players reveal their Personal Dice results and check whether each of their Betting Chips meets the condition printed on the space, using any of the Shared Dice and their Personal Dice.
Note: You are free to choose any subset of the combined dice (Shared and Personal) to fulfill the condition for each individual bet.
Betting Spaces
- Straight: A consecutive straight of 2 to 7 dice (e.g., 7-8, 1-2-3, 4-5-6-7, ...)
- Same Number: 2 to 5 dice showing the same number (e.g., two 4s, three 8s, ...)
- Pairs/Three-of-a-Kinds: The required number of pairs and/or three-of-a-kinds, each using different numbers (e.g., two 1s and two 5s, three 4s and two 2s, ...)
- Four Listed Values: At least one die showing each of the four listed values.
Scoring Bets
All players score points from their successful bets, taking back their betting chips.
- Successful Bet: Score points equal to the number visible on your Betting Chip multiplied by the multiplier on the space. Advance your Score Marker accordingly. Return the chip in front of your screen and, if it was on its darker side, flip it to its lighter side.
- Unsuccessful Bet: Score no points for this chip. Return the chip in front of your screen and, if it was on its lighter side, flip it to its darker side.
Point Token
When exceeding 50 points, take a Point Token from the supply, or flip a Point Token already in your possession on its "100" side. In the rare event Point Tokens run out, use any other method to track additional points.
Reroll Token
When you use a Reroll Token, return it to the general supply. You may immediately reroll any number of your Personal Dice behind your screen. A Reroll Token may be used at any time before the Resolution (Step 7).
End of Round
The player with the Starting Player Marker passes it to the player on their left. Advance the Round Marker to the next space and proceed to the next round.
If components are on the new round space, add them to the game:
- Round 2: Add 1 Red Die to the Shared Dice pool. (The Red Die cannot be rerolled in Steps 4 or 6.)
- Round 3: Add 1 Dark brown Die to the Shared Dice pool.
- Round 5: Each player gains 1 Reroll Token.
- Round 6: Each player gains 1 additional Personal Die.
Game End
The game ends after 8 rounds (2 or 4 players) or 9 rounds (3 players).
The player with the highest total score (adding up the score track and their Point Tokens) wins the game. If there is a tie, the tied player with the highest sum of the values shown on their Betting Chips wins. If still tied, the tied players share the victory.
