What happens if an effect takes credits, Zenithium or an influence disc from my opponent and they have none?
The English rulebook FAQ and the French FAQ differ; no official ruling resolves it.

Unclear. The English rulebook FAQ says to use a substitute from the reserve when an element is missing, which would let you still gain the item. The French FAQ is reported to say you take what is available and ignore the rest, and some players think the English text is a mistranslation. If an effect cannot be applied at all, ignore it.
