Does a 'when played' ability trigger when the card is played to reserve?

It depends on wording: plain 'when played' triggers wherever the card is played, 'when played to reserve' only there, 'when played to a path or battleground' only there, and 'when played or moved to a path or battleground' both when played there and when moved there.
