Can a Depart or Move cost drop by 1 after I clear an obstacle?
Yes. If a move costs 1 less when it is not blocked by an obstacle, and one of the location's actions removed the obstacle, you roll only 1 die. The publisher accepted applying the Universal Rule of Thematic Fun this way in one reported case.
