Mostly not. He is in no zone and adjacent to nothing, so zone and adjacency effects miss him. Effects aimed straight at the player or character, like looking at the hand or direct damage, still work. Whether he is dormant for 'each opponent' effects is a tournament-rule point not in the core rules.
