How does the updated Mesmerist work, and do its tokens ever come off?
The current Mesmerist only makes a chosen staff member available or unavailable for a round; it no longer hands you control of the staff member. The Mesmerism token stays on that staff member indefinitely, including after the Mesmerist leaves play, so the same staff member cannot be mesmerised again. Older answers that describe borrowing the staff member's abilities refer to the pre-rewrite wording.
