When do temple rewards pay out, and do you get them if you couldn't feed workers?

Only on Food Days, after feeding. On the brown-orange (middle of age) days you get the resources and skulls on your current step and on every step below it; on the blue-green (end of age) days you get victory points for your current step only, plus a bonus for the highest player, split between tied leaders. Rewards are paid regardless of whether you fed everyone; the unfed penalty is separate.
