Once, immediately before the first round of Invasion Combat, each defending PDS on the planet rolls one die at the invading Ground Forces, which get no return fire. It hits only Ground Forces (not Mechanized Units or Mercenaries), and only the PDS on the invaded planet may fire; adjacent Deep Space Cannon PDS may not. If every invader dies, combat never starts and landed Fighters do not fight. Invading PDS are destroyed if the last invading Ground Force dies.
