How long does a Diplomat's delay protect a planet, and does it stop bombardment?

It stops one invasion only (the landed Ground Forces go back, so Dreadnoughts cannot bombard), and the planet cannot be protected again that round or the next. It does not stop bombardment that has no landing, such as a War Sun's, or X-89.
