Can you place a Character on a -1 AP Sunday slot where it gets 0 AP, and must a placed Character take an action?
The designer ruled on this directly in November 2026, overruling the earlier forum view that placing without acting was fine.

Yes to the placement, with a catch. You may assign a Character to a slot that leaves it with 0 AP (an Apprentice on Sunday is a legitimate play, for example to be a guest when someone performs your tricks), and you then pay its wage; skip placing it and you owe nothing. But if a Character has the AP to take an action, the designer's 2026 ruling is that it must take at least one. Your Magician may choose not to perform when its turn comes.
