What happens when the Heir gains more characters than it can use?

Gained Apprentices are assigned like its others, but the Heir never uses more than six workers (five without the Academy); extra Apprentices are unassigned and score at the end. There is no hard cap on specialists: its workers stay in a fixed order, so a third Specialist can push an Apprentice off the board.
