Can I bomb before my turn and then fulfil the wish with a different combination?

Yes. Between the previous play and your turn you may play any bomb, even one without the wished rank, and if you win the trick you then lead and fulfil the wish with a combination such as a straight or full house. The rulebook FAQ gives exactly this example. If another player holds a higher bomb that contains the wished rank, they must play it on their own turn.
