It goes back to the first space. If it reaches the last step as Fauxzilla arrives, nothing extra happens that turn; next Foo phase it resets and a Rift is added to that Era. In the German rules, the cube moves in Fauxzilla's phase on his Era's trap; that wording is due to be fixed.
