Can I keep Oshax or treasure cards in hand and play them on a later day?
The rulebook says unplayed cards stay in hand and tiles must be placed at once.

Yes. After paying for them you may hold them until the rare-finds phase you choose. When played, the tile goes on your boat immediately. Rare treasure tiles come only from the yellow treasure cards, never from map cards.
