How can I win a trick containing a card of a colour I cannot beat?

Make the trick contain the target card while you win it. For example, lead or play a higher card of the target's colour so the owner must follow with it and the rest play lower or off-suit cards, or arrange that the owner's only cards of the led colour are the target. A rocket can win a colour trick once you are out of the led colour. Teammates help by playing low cards so you take the trick.
