JARVIS counts as a third crew member in every respect. He takes tasks (chosen by the commander) and the commander decides what he says in yes/no missions and which face-up card he plays. He leads the next trick when he wins one, and the commander stays the player with the 4 of rockets. He can even be picked for special roles such as the player who must win no trick; the commander cannot discuss his choices with the other player.
