How does the Dark Eclipse Sudden Death variant work?
The rulebook defines the variant.
- Teotihuacan: City of Gods rulebook · Rulebook · DARK ECLIPSE: SUDDEN DEATH VARIANT
An Eclipse happens immediately after the turn that brings the light disc to the dark disc, with no extra round. The game ends in the middle of a round if the third Eclipse (or a finished Pyramid) triggers it, and ties are broken by the higher Player Order token. It does not end the game at the first Eclipse; only the third (or the Pyramid) does.
