In what order do I resolve an Ascension?
The rulebook lists the steps in order and the designer also confirmed the sequence.

First advance one step on the Avenue of the Dead (max 9), then move the die to the Palace (1) reset to power 1, then choose a reward on the Ascension wheel, then advance the Calendar light disc one step. Resources from the reward cannot be used to pay for earlier steps. Ascensions from one turn are each fully resolved, but an Eclipse is triggered only after your turn ends.
