How do the end-of-game row bonuses work?

A full row of four cards with the same symbol gives 4 VP, and a full row of four different symbols gives 2 VP. Incomplete rows score nothing. A card that boosts the different-symbols bonus affects only different-symbol rows, not same-symbol ones; for example, two different-symbol rows then score 8 instead of 4.
