Can a ship hold more than one target lock, and can several ships lock the same target?
The rulebook states the one-lock limit; Weapons Engineer's two-lock exception comes from forum replies.

A ship has only one blue target lock token, so acquiring a lock on a new ship drops the old one. Any number of ships can lock the same enemy (it simply carries several red tokens). The Weapons Engineer crew card is the exception: it lets a ship keep two locks, on two different ships, but it does not give an extra attack.
