How does the Direct Hit critical card work: how much damage, shields, Colzet and flipping?

A faceup Direct Hit counts as 2 damage against the hull (every other card counts as 1) with no extra card drawn. A shield absorbs the critical first, so with shields up it deals nothing. It has no flip or draw instruction, so Colzet's ability leaves it faceup. Flipping it facedown in the End phase removes the card text, so it then counts as ordinary 1 damage, but a Direct Hit can destroy a ship before the End phase if the ship has only a couple of hull points left.
