C-3PO's correct guess adds an Evade result like spending a token, so it can cancel hits from Autoblaster, whose rolled Evades cannot. He needs at least one defense die to trigger: if the defender rolls none, he is unavailable. At Range 3 against a primary weapon the defender still gets one die after agility is reduced to zero; against a secondary weapon he does not.
