If several effects change a ship's pilot skill, which one applies?

Only the most recent effect applies, per the FAQ as quoted in the threads. Damaged Cockpit sets pilot skill to 0 whatever earlier effect applied, so Veteran Instincts is ignored, while Swarm Tactics can still raise it on its turn. If Torkhil Mux and Roark Garnet both target a ship, the one that resolves last wins. A boosted pilot skill also counts for Predator, which then rerolls one die rather than two.
