What does a target lock do, and do I still get the reroll when I spend it to fire a torpedo or missile?

A target lock adds no dice; it lets you reroll any number of your attack dice once each against the locked ship. Torpedoes and missiles with a Target Lock header require you to spend the lock to make the attack, so once it is spent to fire, it cannot also be used for a reroll in that attack. Some missiles, such as Homing Missiles, only require that you hold a lock and do not spend it, so the reroll stays available. Read the card to see whether it spends the lock or just needs one.
