Can the Ion Cannon Turret fire outside the firing arc, and do other ships block the shot?

Question

Accepted Answer

Yes, it can target a ship outside the firing arc, anywhere around the ship within Range 1-2. Other ships do not block the shot, but an obstacle in the way gives the defender an extra die, and you still cannot target a ship whose base touches yours. It counts as a secondary weapon for effects that remove one.
