How do Helper cards and buildings combine at final scoring?

They are two separate scorings. Add the value of each unique bottle on your Helper cards, and add the per-building values separately for each Protected building. Helper cards count whether they sit next to your board or in your Safe, but each bottle scores once. Unplayed Helper cards also count.
