Speakeasy
Can I pay my Associate to add strength when ambushing a Rum-runner ship?
The rulebook states this directly in its Ambush note.

No. The rulebook says you may not pay your Associate to increase your Attack strength against a Rum-runner Ship; Associate strength is for defending buildings and taking over Mobster Speakeasies. An Associate power that applies to Rum-runners, like Bugsy Siegel's +1 to total Attack strength, is ongoing and costs nothing.
