How do you prove your stone can't be beaten without listing every combination?

Use cards already visible to rule out whole classes at once: if a key number is already played elsewhere, runs through it are gone, and a colour or number with too few unplayed cards cannot form a set. Only visible cards may be used. It's a counting exercise.
